Welcome to Task 7 of Builders Corp. Series 2. This week we ask you to produce a convincing set design. Not only will you be showing us what's happening on set, we want to see what's happening around it as well.
Be as creative as you can when coming up with set designs. Sitcoms, television shows, cooking shows, talk shows, game shows, movies. The list is endless.
You made it to the final 5. There is no hiding; we see everything.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas. I simply adore this room. The technical aspects are unique, the set is gorgeous and the mirror is genius. That blue chicken is gonna be a star! This doesn't even need a proper analytical critique because everyone who owns a pair of eyes can see how good this room is. Welcome to final 4.
Nicely done. This is everything I was looking for this week and more. You had a clear concept that you fulfilled to its full potential; and it's gorgeous. The pop of colour from the curtains balances the darker aspects in the 'studio'. The fog on the stage is very fitting and separates the 2 components we asked for; the set and its surroundings. The most amazing aspects are the mirror and the framing you used on the stage. They are crafted beautifully. Awesome Job! Welcome to the final 4.

..havermout..

A very compelling room with great space composition. I do enjoy the intricate way the rooms are spread out. The simplicity of this is quite enjoyable but when it comes down to the wire being this close to the finale we have to consider every aspect of the room. In your case the brick is too overwhelming. The overall room feels like a house that happened to have recording stuff added to it. I don't see the same artificialness of a set as I do with other rooms.
So many creative aspects combined into this soulful build. The recording room being integrated into the set was a smart decision. You were able to create the whole scene by having the recording elements be apart of the actual set. I think your downfall was attention to detail. There are so many technical aspects that I recognize, that I definitely commend you for. For me, I wish you had combined different textures and furniture to give us something we'd never seen before. The brick wall being prominent as such a key role in this construction, it is overwhelming.

The green screen is such a cheeky idea, I love it. The use of pools for that extra fake water addition is such a cool idea. The technical behind the scenes look ok, i just wish the room was composed better. Maybe avoid a simple rectangle room and give us more layers/height. Overall this is a great idea with some very compelling details that lacked a bit in the composition department.
I love how homemade this set looks. It's very humorous to see the sinking ship take place in a paddle pool. It holds up. I adore your creative process. The track with the camera is genius; the green screen is very clever. You really nailed your inspiration to the floorboard. This is a great attempt at our task. Welcome to the final 4!

I can't believe you did little shop of horrors. This room has exactly what I was looking for this week. A plastic fake looking set with a messy behind the scenes. You have a great talent in composing a space around the idea you want to show and that is very apparent on this room. The outside rainy street was the perfect addition to turning this room into a front-runner this week.
Suddenly Seymour! I'm a huge fan of little shop of horrors. The two sets mixed into one build is phenomenal. I love how the shop is stacked onto stilts. You toyed with composition and theme and showed us a very different spin on this task. The clouds attached to the scaffold is neat, I love the rain pouring onto the set. All of the wires and cables hanging and weaving around your build is very fitting. Overall, I'm very impressed with your ability to reproduce a cult classic and shape it into this stunning design. Welcome to the final 4!

At first glance I wasn't that impressed with this room. It didn't hold the same composition/details compared to some other rooms. But then I really looked at it and saw all these amazing details constructed on each corner of the room. This being a photoshoot studio makes way more sense and the behind the scenes are appropriate. The lighting is great, the stacking is cool and the bin with the flowers for petals is my favourite detail of the room.
Once again, you played with aesthetics and concocted this visual representation of our task. There are so many aspects that draw my attention! I love the carpeted area, it's a different twist to what I was expecting and it works very well with the rest of what you have created. The dressing area is crafted beautifully and I adore the petals in the basket. Overall i'm very impressed with the attention to detail and the way in which you experimented with this idea. Welcome to the final 4.
