Welcome to Task 3 of Builders Corp. Series 2. This week we ask you to create an original bookcase that shows remnants of another world seeping through; as if the book of your imagination has opened. It's contents scattered through your build. Please keep in mind this is 1 room. Cohesion is of great importance.
We will be cropping rooms that go beyond wall height: 2.
MAX ROOM SIZE LIMIT:
5x4

As the first room submitted, you really set the bar high with this one. A pretty straightforward idea done just right with the perfect harmony of shape/colour/texture. I am extremely proud of you stepping up in this game. This is also one of those rare rooms that looks way better in zoom 1, which I’ve linked here for others to see.
You've incorporated so many obscure furniture items into this swirling design; i'm mesmerized. This is your best build in this competition to date. You stuck with your theme and brought it to life in such a creative way. I couldn't have asked for a better redemption. The coral gives this such a great contrast to the dark tones everywhere else. Awesome job.
I LOVE this room. Sometimes a build doesn't have to have a whole story or backdrop behind it because it just looks awesome! This is one of those rooms. I can almost see it moving as I look at all of the junk swirling out. Conceptually, this room stands above the rest.

I’m in awe with the shape of this room. It has the best shape in contrast to your peers. The concept is pretty clear with the story literally spilling out of the bookcase. I appreciate a lot of details constructed in the grassy scene. It overall has a happy, bright sense to it which is influenced by the bright shades of green. That being said, there are some details here that sorta draw the eye away from the room in a bad way. The country walls, while they help with the snazzy shape, are too dominant and sudden without matching anything. The cauldron is also a bit too big with the pink being so bright it mutes the rest of the better details.
I'm very fascinated with the shape of this room. I really enjoy some of the structural aspects of this build. The floor for example is exceptional, the layering and stacking is unique and I love how it plays off the dark shelves. I think where you could have enhanced this would be the story coming to life. Yes there is a unicorn emerging from the shelves but I think you could have combined the two worlds a little bit better, instead of showing us the divide.
I can see where you were going with the shape/construction of this room, as it looks like the fairytale world is spilling out from the bookcase. However, the execution just wasn't there. The wood color in the country walls, the bookcase, and the ornate shelf are all different which isn't pleasing to the eyes.

Boy am I glad you stepped your game up this week. This is my favourite of the week. I’m not so sure what story this room tells but by now I’m used to your brand and I don’t really need to know the specifics. You always show the most unique builds with concepts that only make sense in your head. You executed the details here flawlessly. Don’t ever change and conform.
You did a great job interpreting our task this week. The combination of worlds is very aesthetically pleasing, you played with a muted palette beautifully and still managed to pack a huge punch with your stacking abilities. The right side of the build is definitely my favourite part. The roots twisting at the base of the rocks with the water pooling through; it's magnificent. Great job this week.
This was one of my favorite rooms of the week! I love how you can immediately tell whether each furni is part of this world or the other one seeping through. The contrasting color between the two worlds was executed flawlessly. The floor details are so interesting to look at! This room creates a mysterious and strangely intriguing story. Wonderful job!

A beautiful shape with a concept that's easy to comprehend. I appreciate the way you matched the brown tones so they don’t stand out in a bad way which also helps with the readability of the room. I also find the use of that armchair with the lamp very strategic in breaking the monotony of a symmetrical room and giving this a much needed organic feel.
This reminds me of Zathura. I'm obsessed with your inspiration and how well this translates. The books being the main focal point of this build; scattered around the room, being sucked through the black hole. You have done an exceptional job thus far in the competition in coming up with creative ways to translate the task given. Keep up the good work.
This is a very simple build but well thought out build. You did a great job of finding space-themed items to bring the concept together. I like how the books around the black hole appear to be floating as if they're in space. Good stuff!

I am a big fan of this. You did use a lot of browns but they’re scattered around and repeated so it doesn’t read in a bad way. You repeatedly show a variety of unique concepts with your rooms. I like how you went around this task with the fantasy details scattered throughout. The details on the left shelf are to die for. Impressive work as always. Keep it up+*`
I absolutely adore the water spilling out of the bookshelf and solidifying as ice on the ground, very clever. The frost encrusting the ivy above the shelf is another neat idea. You came up with new and unique ways to portray ice in this build. I commend your efforts to create a bookshelf rather than using one already available. It looks gorgeous. Overall a very articulate build that possesses a lot of skill and details. You're definitely a top contender with this, this week.
This room gave me Narnia vibes and I love it! The icy world is seeping in from every corner of the room and the construction of the shelves is beautifully done. I also love the effect you created with the floor light and book furnis. Bigfoot peeping through the window made me laugh. Thank you for such an enjoyable build!

Pine

I appreciate the pinkness of this room. Doing pink-themed rooms on habbo is really hard. The construction of the bookshelf is quite unique and interesting. Once you really analyze the room you can obviously tell which story this is. That being said, in contrast to the rest of the rooms, this doesn’t follow the whole concept of stuff literally spilling out. It just looks like a diehard fan who collects toys and memorabilia of a story they like.
You did your homework in finding furniture and crafting these little details that resemble the fairytale we all know. I love how those aspects worked their way into this build. Where you lost me was the aspect of the task that required the world to be coming from the bookshelf. That isn't what I'm seeing. Had you been able to show us that aspect, the combination of details would have given you a higher ranking this week. Keep at it, I think you'll nail it next time.
You definitely put in your work this week by adding details to tie this princess/cinderella theme together. The custom-built bookcase is complex and super cute. My only concern is that the items don’t appear to be coming from the bookshelf, they seem to just be part of the room already

I’m a sucker for a really tiny room. I appreciate the compact size of this. The room on itself isn't bad. It's an adorable mystical reading nook but when it comes to this particular task I feel like you missed the mark a bit. I wish we saw more hints of the mundane world mashed together with the fungi fantasy here. The room shouldn't be all about balancing the details. Sometimes a stronger concept triumphs over details which we witnessed with the previous task winner.
I feel as though you didn't let us see the difference between the two worlds. Had you honed in on the divide, this would have proved to have been a better build. The idea to do a 'reading nook' is fine, it just wasn't what we asked for unfortunately. That being said, I do see some redeeming qualities in the construction. Intricate builds tend to possess a lot details that I admire. The bioluminescent aspect was intriguing and I'm glad you added that aspect to your creation. Thanks.
You did create a cute fantasy reading nook here. However, I feel that the task was completely missed. It seems that the whole room is in a fantasy world, rather than one world seeping into another.

Fantasy aspect aside, I really like interior design of the room. From the masculine green walls to the perfect complimenting shades of brown. The masculinity also acts a huge contrast with the tone of the story spilling out. I do find some aspects of the shelves confusing but overall the effect is really strong and well detailed. Impressive work as always.
I'm quite enamored with the whole creative process this week. The bookshelf is glorious, the furniture you stacked together to create it is very clever and inventive. I like all the bits and bobs you have cascading out of the shelf, I can't exactly place my finger on some of the decisions but I think they all hold their own value. I urge you to create a build in the coming weeks that doesn't use the whole room limit. Great results this week.
You definitely covered the task this week and there are some great details worked in. I get a "down the rabbit hole" vibe from the items you have pouring out of the bookshelf. However, the stacking of the bookshelf is a bit messy and confusing.

Mogwai

I admit I’m not drawn to this room. I do appreciate the subtleties in some details like the tree hidden behind the shimmer of the colors, the floating books and the whole tone of the room that shifts with the colorful lights. That being said your biggest problem here is the shape. I feel like this would have translated way better if it was done in a more organic manner and not such a blatant mirror symmetrical set. I also feel like some of the constructive tones just don’t work with each other.
I'm indifferent to this build. Yes, you did follow the task in creating a bookcase that showcases another world pouring out; I don't feel it's conceptualized well. There is a lot going on that just doesn't mesh together. The use of the blackholes and the floating books is lovely to see, and I really do like the glow of the lights. I just feel this build doesn't hold as much creativity as I know others have poured into theirs. The symmetrical aspect is very displeasing, had you used one shelf and had the layout cascade differently, perhaps this would have scored higher. Thanks.
This room is a little hard to follow for me. The construction shape is sound but boring, and the colors between the bookcase and the walls don’t mesh well. I'm not quite sure what the concept is either. I think there is just too much going on here and it doesn't tie together very well.

This room is a feast for the eyes. A clear, strong concept, very readable with a unique bookshelf. I bet our guest judge is gonna shed a tear at your use of japanese benches. The icy details are nice to look at. That said, I do think you could have done better with removing some unneeded details. I also would like to see you play with more organic shapes in the following weeks. Not every room needs to be so boxy and filling the entire max room size.
I really do love the whole vibe of this build. The bookshelf is gorgeous to look at, I love how you took the time to create something new instead of using one that was already made. You ran with this idea as far as you could and it really played off. The windows with the lights are so pretty. My favourite part of this build would probably be how organic the snow and ice hit the ground in the middle of the room. Excellent job!
This room feels so magical! Great construction with the bookshelf (I'm probably biased because I'm in love with japanese benches). Some of the details on the floor like the trash, grapes, and bag of seeds don’t seem to fit in, but overall the room is just simply adorable! Well done :)

CONCLUSION
Thank you for your storytelling, creativity and resilience during Week 3 of Builders Corp. Series 2. We were delighted with the results this week and had fun deliberating, with help from Series 1 winner doglover53.
A special congratulations to taromilkshake, you ran with your concept as far as you could go; not only did it pay off but we were all in awe of how well you were able to translate our task into your build. Exceptional job. We are also saddened to see Mogwai eliminated from the competition. Keep on building and creating your unique constructions.
